Valley of the Kings

Explore the Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground used primarily during the New Kingdom, approximately 1550–1070 BC. Hidden among the desert hills, this necropolis contains the tombs of pharaohs and members of the royal elite, including the famous tomb of Tutankhamun.

Enter selected tombs to admire their colorful wall paintings, hieroglyphs, and religious scenes illustrating ancient Egyptian beliefs about the afterlife.

Temple of Queen Hatshepsut

Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built during the 18th Dynasty in the 15th century BC. Its three monumental terraces rise dramatically against the limestone cliffs of Deir El Bahari, creating one of Luxor’s most distinctive architectural settings.

Explore its courtyards, colonnades, and decorated reliefs while learning about Queen Hatshepsut, one of ancient Egypt’s most influential female rulers.

Colossi of Memnon

Stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous seated statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, erected around 1350 BC. Standing approximately 18 meters tall, they once guarded the entrance to the pharaoh’s vast mortuary temple and remain among the most recognizable landmarks on Luxor’s West Bank.
