Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival Cairo
Magic Egypt Tours manager will meet and assist you upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, then he will escort you to your hotel in Cairo by an air-conditioned deluxe vehicle. At hotel the tour manager will assist you with a smooth check-in and review your private budget vacation itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick-up times for your tours. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2
Cairo / Train to Aswan
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel in Cairo before checking out, then your tour guide will accompany you to Giza Plateau to visit one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, Giza Pyramids: The most substantial ancient structure in the world and the most mysterious. They were built over the span of three generations – by Khufu, his second reigning son Khafre, and his grandson Menkaure during the 4th dynasty (2575 to 2465 BC). The Great Pyramid of Khufu: The oldest and sole remnant of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Over 2 million blocks of stone were used to construct the pyramid, during a 20 year period. Then move to The Great Sphinx: A limestone statue with а lion's body and а human head. The face оf the Sphinx іs generally believed tо represent the face оf the Pharaoh Khafra. It іs the largest monolith statue іn the world. Finish your tour to Giza plateau by The Valley Temple: The only remaining mortuary temple at Giza plateau, made out of red granite and it was used for the embalming process. Then have your lunch at local restaurant before you move to the Egyptian Museum where your guide will show you highlights of the unbelievable collection of artifacts from the old, middle, and new kingdoms. The museum house over 250,000 genuine artifacts, including the treasures of the most famous Egyptian pharaoh, Tutankhamen. The gold and jewelry on display was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s during excavations. Additional visit to the mummies room at the museum (extra ticket on spot). Continue your tour to Coptic Cairo, where you will see such glorious sights as the Hanging Church. Located at the gatehouse of the Roman fortress, it is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and is the most famous of Cairo’s Coptic churches. Also there you will be able to visit the Church of Abu-Sergah and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, one of the most important Jewish sites in the city and a historic place of pilgrimage for North African Jews. Then proceed to visit Khan El Khalili Bazaar. The shops in this district are known for trading fine brassware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, antiques and much more, you can taste the real life of the Egyptians and buy your souvenirs. In the evening, you will be transferred to Giza train station to get the sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board. Overnight inside your compartment.
Day 3
Aswan Nile Cruise Tours
Upon your arrival at Aswan train station, you will be met and assisted by Magic Egypt Tours manager who will transfer you to Nile Cruise to check in . Enjoy Lunch on board, then you will be guided to visit the High Dam, which created the world's largest freshwater lake, Lake Nasser, once it was completed and the Unfinished Obelisk, which located in the ancient granite quarries, then on to the beautiful located Temple of Philae on Isis Island and the Granite Quarries, which is dedicated to the goddesses Isis and Hathor. After these visits back to your cruise. Dinner and overnight in Aswan.
Day 4
Kom Ombo / Edfu
By the morning you will enjoy Sailing to Kom Ombo while getting breakfast on board. Arrive Kom Ombo to visit the Temple of Kom Ombo. The temple is unique because its 'double' design meant that there were courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms duplicated for two sets of gods. The southern half of the temple was dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, god of fertility. The northern part of the temple was dedicated to the falcon god Haroeris. Back to your Nile Cruise to sail to Edfu with lunch on board, after that move to visit the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt, Horus Temple in Edfu. The temple, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. It was built in the Ptolemaic period. The inscriptions on its walls provide important information on language, myth and religion during the Greco-Roman period in ancient Egypt. There are also "important scenes and inscriptions of the Sacred Drama which related the age-old conflict between Horus and Seth." Enjoy an afternoon tea during sailing to Esna. Stop en route to visit the Esna Temple. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5
Luxor West
In the early morning you will sail to Luxor with enjoying breakfast on board, then set out from your cruise to visit the West Bank of Luxor, take an excursion to the royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, Valley of the Kings.The final resting place of Egypt's rulers from the 18th to 20th dynasty, it is home to tombs including the great Pharaoh Ramses II and boy Pharaoh Tutankhamen. The tombs were well stocked with all the material goods a ruler might need in the next world. Most of the decoration inside the tombs still well preserved, then head to mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was built by the architects of the New Kingdom Pharaoh Hatshepsut approximately in the 15th century BC, at El-Deir El-Bahar. End your tour to Luxor west bank by visiting the Colossi Of Memnon,2 massive stone statues оf Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Fоr the past 3400 years (since 1350 BC) they hаve stood іn the Theban necropolis. Back to the Nile Cruise and have Lunch on board. Enjoy an afternoon tea aboard the Nile Cruise. Dinner on board and Overnight in Luxor.
Day 6
Luxor East / Cairo
Enjoy breakfast aboard the cruise before disembarkation, and then you will be accompanied by your tour guide to visit Luxor East bank, where you visit the majestic Luxor temple which was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals and dedicated to the god Amun , then visit the Karnak Temples. It is the largest temple complex ever built by man. It represents the combined achievement of many generations of ancient builders and Pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak is actually three main temples situated on 247 acres of land .It dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. Later you will be transferred to Luxor train station to get the sleeper train back to Cairo. Dinner would be served on board the sleeper train. Overnight in your private compartment ( twin beds).
Day 7
Cairo Optional Tour
Breakfast aboard sleeper train before arriving Giza train station, where you will be met and assisted by Magic Egypt Tours representative who will transfer you to your hotel for free time. There are some optional excursions available in Cairo to visit Saqqara Step Pyramid of Zoser: The earliest large-scale cut stone construction, It was built during the 27th century BC for the burial of Pharaoh Djoser. This first Egyptian pyramid consisted of six mastabas of decreasing size built atop one . Then move to visit Memphis City : It was the 1st capital of Egypt & was considered to be a center of rule and culture for over 3000 years. At Memphis you can see the Statue of Ramses II and the 2nd biggest Sphinx all over Egypt. Finally, transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 8
Departure
Breakfast at the hotel then check out and transfer you to the Cairo International Airport and assist you at the airport through final departure formalities. P.S. All itineraries are flexible so you can ask to add or remove any site you want.
